Covenant Community Church was established in November 2005 as the result of a merge of two formally unafilliated congregations, Hosanna Christian Fellowship an Renaissance Worship center.
Hosanna Christian Fellowship
HCF was founded in 1997 as a new church plant by Pastor Jim Neece. The church was located in North Ridgeville Ohio for seven years before relocating to a neighboring city Eaton Township, for one year. Hosanna maintained a popular youth outreach center in North Ridgeville called the Mad House that ministered to the young people of the city for several years.
Renaissance Worship Center
RWC began as New Testament Fellowship West, a church plant of New Testament Fellowship East (located on the east side of Cleveland) in the mid 1980's. The church was birthed in Lakewood Ohio but subsequently moved to the west side of Cleveland where it existed at various locations for over a decade. In 1992 Ken Alberino was ordained an Elder and several years later the church was relocated to Brookpark Ohio. Pastor Jerry Westerfield moved to Northeast Ohio from Brazil and became an Elder at NTF in 2002. Shortly after, the church moved to Middleburg Heights Ohio and was relaunched and renamed Renaissance Worship Center. Just over one year later in 2004, RWC moved further west to North Ridgeville Ohio.
Pastor Jim met Pastor Ken and Jerry when Renaissance moved into the building Hosanna formally rented in North Ridgeville and just one year later the two churches merged, officially launching Covenant Community Church. In February of 2006 two more pastors were added to the Eldership at CCC, Anthony Alberino (son of Ken Alberino) and Ken Wilson. In September of 2007 CCC moved four miles down the road into Columbia Station Ohio where they are presently located.
